Why I Study Economics
Everyone should be exposed to at least a basic level of economics as it completely changes the way you view the world. Economics is the foundation for everyone's ability to buy and sell products within a market, while providing rationale as to WHY prices change and WHY people make the decisions they make. Economics does not lie squarely in one content area, but is an interesting mix between mathematics, psychology, and history. Therefore, it is often a student's first peek into a truly interdisciplinary course of study.
